SHADOWFAX and SHAHIN's bloodlines,
QADIFAN's bloodline's
RS SHADOWFAX and AAS SHAHIN SHAHIL are full-blood brother and sister, so their pedigrees are identical. They are Asil, as is QADIFAN, and what is known as BLUE STARs Which is different from being Blue List. For more information, please click on the BLUE STAR link and look under the 'articles' link. For photos of many of the horses in the pedigree above check out Antique Arabian Stud These are very interesting and informative pages. There are pictures of many of the original imports in the desert and a photo of the Mare Herd at the Sa'ud Royal Stud as well as many current photos of these pure desert horses.
I am having a wonderful time learning and exploring the history of these exciting and unique horses. Shadow came to live with me as a weanling, but it was not until almost 10 years later, when SHAHIN had her first baby, that I became a hopeless addict, reading everything I can get my hands on, and keeping friends online at all hours cussing and discussing horse histories and bloodlines. QADIFAN didn't join our family until the summer of 1998, but he fit right in and is currently in training, and doing very well.

*TAAMRI was bred by the Wuld Sulayman tribe, *RUDANN and *HALWAAJI by the Sa'ud Royal Stud in Saudi Arabia. They were a gift from King Sa'ud Bin Abdul Aziz to a man named Sam Roach and *AMIRAA was born before they moved back to the United States in 1960. Sam Roach was a geologist, a Texas cattleman and horseman. He grew up on a cattle ranch on the Clear Fork of the Brazos River where working horses were a necessity. His travels, while employed by ARAMCO, took him to Saudi Arabia in the decade of the 50s. *SINDIDAH a grey Hamdaniyah, also from the Sa'ud Royal Stud was imported in 1966 to the USA by M.Johnson
The Sa'ud family is of the Wuld Ali Tribe of the Anazeh confederation (the celebrated horse breeding Bedouin tribe of Central Nejd). The Sa'uds now rule the only country in the world bearing a family name "Saudi Arabia." The House of Sa'ud is famous for their pure Hamdani strain horses and supplied Pashas of Eqypt with much of their root stock. The family preserved the horse breeding heritage of the Anazeh and has continued their breeding according to the old desert traditions.
*FURTHA DHELALL was from the Dawasir tribe of S. E. Nejd. In 1350 A. D., the Dawasir was a powerful tribe in Yemen. They raised some of the finest pure horses which Arabia ever produced, selling, trading, and sending them as presents to the Mamalukes of Egypt.
*MUHAIRA and *MAHRAA were both bred by His Highness Amir Sa'ud Ibn Abdullah Ibn Jiluwi. The Ibn Jiluwi family was famous for many generations for raising authentic Arabian horses at their historical Stud Farm in Hofhuf, Saudi Arabia. The origin of most of Ibn Jiluwi's horses can be traced t the Banu Khalid Bedouin. Some of the most celebrated strains of Arabian horses originated among the Banu Khalid.
