Geode

By Cathy Adair 7/94

Inside may lurk dusty crevices,

where once gleamed a dream.

Inexperienced hands grab and crack open,

any round rough rock, uncertain of treasure.

In time,

deliberation and knowledge become the hands,

a feel to the mind,

surety to the eye.

Before choosing this one,

practice on others.

Now,

this may be another round rough rock,

but inside, the hard reality,

lies Tevis crystal.
